Placing bets on the Vegas Craps table will take a little knowledge. When the game is on, the shooter will roll the pair of dice and the objective is to place a bet on whether they will roll a winning combination. These are your best beginner bets:
- The Pass / Don’t Pass:
The Pass bet is the most common wager in Vegas Craps and is placed prior to the Come Out Roll (the first roll of the game). Once all bets have been placed on the Pass Line, the shooter will proceed to roll the dice. If they roll a 7 or 11, it means you win. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, you lose. Any other number rolled is marked as the point: this means that rolled number must be rolled again before seven in order to be a win. A Don’t Pass bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet: You win when a 2 or 3 is rolled, tie when a 12 is rolled and you lose when a 7 or 11 is rolled.
- The Come / Don’t Come:
The Come Line bet is made after the Come Out Roll and works in the same way as the Pass Line bet. It occurs on the next roll after you have placed the bet and whatever the number rolled, that will be the number you are wagering on. The Don’t Come Line bet works in the same way as the Don’t Pass bet and can be made after the Come Out Roll.
- Taking the Odds / Laying the odds:
Once the point has been established, players will place the bet behind the pass line and is usually a multiple between three and five times your Pass Line bet. This is known as Taking the Odds. Laying the Odds is pretty much the opposite. Players will place the bet on the don’t pass line and bet on whether the seven will be rolled before the point number.
