How to Play Deal or No Deal Live
A majority of Australian online casinos offer live dealer games and a game that’s growing in popularity is Deal or No Deal Live. Deal or No Deal Live is an online version of the popular game show known best for the American version starring Howie Mandel.
Deal or No Deal Live is a skill-based game developed by Evolution Gaming. It combines pokie and skill elements for a fun and potentially lucrative game. Today, you’ll learn how to play Deal or No Deal and the prizes you can win in the game.
Qualifying for the Game Show
Deal or No Deal Live is part pokie and part skill game. The first part of the game starts as a slot based qualifier. You start by spinning a 3-Reel bank vault where your goal is to lock in gold rings on all three reels. You have two minutes to qualify for the game.
There are three modes you can play to try and qualify. They are as follows:
- Normal – Standard games where you must lock all three rings.
- Easy – You start with one section already locked in. This costs 3x your bet. For example, if you normally play $1 per spin, you will pay $3 per spin for this mode.
- Very Easy Mode – Two sections are already locked in. This costs 9x your bet.
If you are able to lock in all three bars during the time limit, you qualify for the game show and move on to the Top Up round. If you fail to qualify, you start over.
Top Up Round
Once you’ve qualified, you have the opportunity to top up the amount of money in the briefcases. To top up a briefcase, click on it and select the amount you wish to bet. You can then spin a wheel to top up that case between 5x to 50x your bet.
For this round, the only logical choices for topping up are briefcases where you can make a profit. If you are betting .10 per spin, and have already spent $2 to qualify, it doesn’t make sense to top up anything under $2. Most people just stick with topping up the top briefcase amount.
Note that you have a time limit for topping up. You’ll have to top up before the timer for the qualification round runs out.
Deal or No Deal Game Show
Once you qualify and top up, you will go to the live Deal or No Deal game. This will be hosted at Evolution Gaming’s studio. You have a host long with a lovely lady that opens the case. It starts by opening the first three cases and those numbers are eliminated.
After the numbers are knocked off, you are presented with a Banker’s Offer. You can choose Deal or No Deal. You have 12 seconds to choose. If you don’t choose, the game automatically selects No Deal and moves on. When you choose to take the Deal, your game is over, but the rest of the game plays out.
Four cases will be eliminated over the next two rounds. After each round, you’ll receive a Banker’s Offer. If you don’t take the offer, there will be five cases left. The next round eliminates three more and two will remain.
This is where you make your final decision. You can take the banker’s offer or take your shot at the final case. Like in the televised game show, you can swap the final case. If you don’t swap, you’ll go with whatever is in the case in front of the host.
If you play to the end and didn’t swap, you’ll win the prize in the case in front of the host. Otherwise, you’ll get what’s in the other case.
Like in the televised show, the banker’s deal is based on the cases left. As long as higher-value cases are on the board, the value of the deal remains at least reasonable. Once the highest case is gone, the deal value drops dramatically.
Deal or No Deal Live is Fun Game But Can Be Frustrating
Deal or No Deal Live is a great game for those that like live dealer games but want something different from Roulette or Blackjack. It has an RTP of 95.42%, which is “ok,” but you will get a better return on other games.
The frustrating part about this game is the qualifying round. If you’re lucky and can qualify quickly, you can almost guarantee a profit. Otherwise, you may have to get very lucky.
Deal or No Deal Live is available at CasinoChan, Ignition Casino, or any casino offering live dealer games from Evolution Gaming.
