PointsBet is an established name in online gambling and was originally founded in Australia. In recent years, the company has made a name for itself by expanding into legal online gambling markets in America. It appears that expansion is continuing as the company has signed a deal with one of the biggest names in live dealer games. Evolution Gaming has announced a partnership with PointsBet that will see the live dealer giant offer live gaming in legal US jurisdictions.
Evolution Gaming Signs with PointsBet for US Live Casino Gaming
On Thursday, Evolution Gaming issued a press release announcing that it was selected as PointsBet’s exclusive live dealer games partner. Evolution Gaming has an ever-growing suite of live dealer games consisting primarily of everyday favorites like blackjack and roulette. Also, they offer exclusive gaming such Deal or No Deal Live.
PointsBet Chief Innovation Officer Seth Young spoke on the deal, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Evolution Gaming to launch Live Casino technology in US jurisdictions, where we plan to offer our proprietary online casino platform. The addition of Evolution Live Casino extends the appeal of PointsBet’s premium product in the rapidly growing US market.”

Evolution Gaming’s Chief Commercial Officer Sebastian Johannison also sent a statement on the deal. He said, “Evolution’s Live Casino portfolio offers PointsBet a rich mix of world-leading online Live Casino games including classic table games, online Poker variants that are big favourites with US players, and our new generation of awardwinning, record-breaking game show games. In addition, PointsBet will have the option of exclusively branded dedicated tables and environments, should they require these.”
PointsBet presently operates in New Jersey, Indiana, and Iowa. They offer both online and land-based gambling services, but this deal will primarily focus on New Jersey, at least for now. This couldn’t come at a better time for Evolution Gaming.
Evolution Gaming Receives Full Pennsylvania License
Evolution Gaming is quickly gaining traction as the premier live dealer provider in the United States. They have a monopoly on live dealer casino games in New Jersey and will now expand in Pennsylvania. Last week, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board gave its approval for full licensing for the company.
This was an important announcement as the company will not offer live dealer games in the two largest legal jurisdictions in the United States. Presently, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware have legal online casino gaming. Also, Michigan and West Virginia have passed legal online casino gambling, but have yet to launch sites.
Evolution operates their live dealer studios in the states where games are legal online. They have a studio operational in New Jersey. Also, their Pennsylvania studio is under construction with a launch date of H2 2020. Meanwhile, a third studio is under construction in Michigan and will go live sometime in 2021. This is likely contingent on the launch of gaming in the state.
What Are Live Dealer Games?
For those somewhat new to online casino gambling, live dealer games are online casino games using a live dealer and streaming over the internet. For example, for live dealer blackjack, a live dealer will physically deal out cards for each hand. The casino software handles all bets and payouts. The appeal of these games is that you can interact with the dealer and other players at the table. Depending on the person dealing, you may get a dealer that’s very chatty and entertaining. Also, this helps to enhance the gaming experience. This type of gaming is best for those that miss interacting with people at live casinos.
Most Australian online casinos offer these games, with Evolution Gaming being a top provider of games. The partnership between PointsBet and Evolution Gaming will prove a profitable one as both companies continue to expand operations in the United States.
